Mt Vernon, AL (August 26, 2022) – Multiple parties were left injured as a result of a truck accident that occurred on Friday evening in Mount Vernon. At around 6:30 p.m., on August 19, the Alabama state troopers responded to a crash that occurred on County Road 83 in the Mt Vernon community.
Reports from authorities show that a 2019 Kenworth semi-truck tractor-trailer collided with a 2004 Toyota on County Road 83 during the evening hours. The crash caused severe disruptions in the area. A total of six people were injured due to this vehicle accident.
Officers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and firefighters blocked multiple lanes of County Road 83 as they assisted with clearing the scene.
Several victims were then transported to local medical facilities, where they were treated further for the injuries suffered as a result of the crash
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the crash at this time.
