Mobile, AL (April 5, 2022) – One man has lost his life as a result of a traffic-related incident on Monday, April 4, in the Mobile area. At around 6:45 p.m., the Mobile Police Department was dispatched to the scene of an auto accident on Airport Boulevard.
Reports from authorities show that a motorcycle was traveling on Airport Boulevard when it became involved in a collision with a second vehicle near Interstate 65. Investigations show that the driver of the vehicle entered Airport Boulevard to go west.
The 53-year-old motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries in the accident.
A female passenger in the second vehicle was transported to a local hospital for care.
Authorities closed off Airport Boulevard between University Boulevard and McGregor Avenue as they worked to clear the scene.
Investigations surrounding the incident are ongoing.
