Mobile, AL (August 30, 2022) – A vehicle collision occurred in the Mobile area on Thursday evening that claims one man’s life. At around 9 p.m., on August 25, the Mobile Police Department responded to a crash on Airport Boulevard.
Preliminary investigations show that a collision between two vehicles occured on the Airport Boulevard Service Road. The crash caused extensive delays between Montlimar Drive and Downtowner Drive.
Officers with the Mobile Police Department blocked off a large portion of the roadway as they worked to remove the vehicles and debris from the roadway.
The driver of one vehicle involved in the accident, identified as a 62-year-old man, was declared deceased at the scene of the accident by the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department.
The second driver was transported to an area hospital for the treatment of minor injuries.
The circumstances surrounding this motor vehicle accident are under investigation by the Mobile Police Department at this time.
