Irvington, AL – Two Children Fatally Wounded in Fire on Magnolia Rd

Irvington, AL (August 30, 2022) – A fire incident reported in the Irvington area has claimed the lives of two young boys. On Thursday evening, at around 8:30 p.m., the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office and firefighters were called to the scene of an incident that occurred on Magnolia Road.

On August 25, emergency crews were notified that a fire broke out inside a mobile home located on Magnolia Road

A woman and her three children were inside the home at the time. The 24-year-old mother attempted to rescue the three boys inside of the home. The woman was able to pull her 10-month-old son from his crib and was able to get her four-year-old out of the home.

Authorities arrived at the scene and located another 2-year-old boy inside of the structure. The three children and the woman were transported to area hospitals.

Authorities confirm that the 4-year-old in the 2-year-old boys both passed away after arriving at the hospital for treatment.

At this time, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
