Elberta, AL – Fatality Reported in Motorcycle Crash on US-98 near Deer Acres Ln

Elberta, AL (September 4, 2022) – A motorcycle accident took place in Baldwin County on Friday afternoon that ultimately led to the loss of life for one person. At around 1:30 p.m., on September 2, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) responded to a major collision that occurred on US Highway 98.

Preliminary reports provided by ALEA indicate that a motorcycle and a second vehicle collided on US Highway 98. The crash blocked multiple lanes of US Highway 98 near Deer acres Lane in Baldwin County.

ALEA closed off the intersection for an extended amount of time.

The motorcyclist who was involved in this accident suffered fatal injuries. The victim was pronounced deceased by responding officers.

The extent of other injuries resulting from this collision is unknown at this time.

ALEA continues to investigate the circumstances of this crash.
