RECALL ALERT: Dr. Brown’s “Lovey Pacifier & Teether Holder”

This recall involves Dr. Brown’s Lovey pacifier & teether holders due to a potential choking hazard. The affected products came in eight different styles: Giraffe, Zebra, Turtle, Reindeer (Special Holiday Edition), Frog (Special Holiday Edition), Spring Bunny (Special Holiday Edition), Deer, and Bunny.

U.S. Consumer Protection Agency Details Recall

The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) detailed the recall, which approximately 600,000 pacifier holders and teether holders. According to the CPSC, the affected units were sold and distributed through multiple local retailers nationwide, as well as online retailers such as Amazon, from August 2015 through March 2018. Choking Hazard

According to the recall details, repeated use and wear of the product can cause the material from which the ribbons are constructed to fray and/or unravel, allowing the snap to inadvertently detach from the ribbon, posing a potential choking hazard.
