At Clay, Massey & Associates, we believe it’s about more than just being a local business, it’s about a mission to help others and uplift our local communities. There are a so many wonderful leaders and volunteers that truly work to make Mobile – and the world – a better place. The impact these special people have on the lives of others cannot be overstated. They truly are the lifeblood of our community. Today we want to spotlight two separate local organizations that really touch our hearts. Nonprofit organizations like these typically operate on shoestring budgets, and boy do they ever do some amazing things with the limited funds they do receive. We have been blessed beyond measure, so for the holidays we wanted to spread a little extra Christmas blessings their way, by making a financial contribution to help them with some much-needed projects and supplies in furtherance of their mission!
Light of the Village
Light of the Village (LOV) is a front-line, hands-on Christian ministry in Prichard’s Alabama Village community, designed to share Christ’s message of faith, hope, and love to the inner city. The Light of the Village Ministry is located inside one of the most impoverished and violent neighborhoods in the southeastern United States. In 2001, a “crack house” was transformed by Christ into a place of Christian faith, hope, and love. LOV is a front-line, hands-on ministry that serves inside this community six days a week offering a variety of programs. This consistent outreach is where genuine relationships are built, and Christ can be shared one person at a time. LOV is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability®.
LOV projects include: After School Programs, Teen Nights, Summer Bible Camp, Cross N’ The Hood, Community Outreach Events, Lights of LOV Candles, Sunday Bible Study, Community Lunch, and more!
