Fatal Car Accidents in Alabama

Fatal auto collisions in Alabama take the lives of hundreds of people annually. Unfortunately, there are many instances where fatal crashes take place as a result of drivers who are negligent or reckless while behind the wheel.

Speeding is one of the most common causes of fatal collisions reported in Alabama. Speed limits are in place to keep everyone safe on the road. Unfortunately, some drivers choose to ignore the speed limit, putting themselves and others at risk. Speeding can increase the likelihood of drivers losing control of their vehicles in congested areas, construction zones, and around curves.

Impaired driving is another leading cause of fatal crashes in Alabama. Drivers who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol are a danger to themselves and others on the road. People who are drunk or impaired are unlikely to make sound decisions while behind the wheel. As a result, they drift into other lands and strike vehicles nearby.

Drivers who are distracted are also a major cause of fatal crashes in Alabama. Drivers who are texting, talking on the phone, or otherwise not paying attention to the road are putting everyone around them at risk. When drivers do not have their attention on the road ahead, they are likely to strike other vehicles or objects on the road.
